Designing for the Gavin Hitchings Exhibition

For the Gavin Hitchings exhibition at The Suter Art Gallery, I developed a cohesive visual identity that captured the essence of Gavin’s work. First, I studied his artistic style and the themes he explores. Then, I designed promotional materials, including bold posters and elegant invitations, to attract a wide audience.

I chose a colour palette and typography that complemented Gavin’s artwork without overpowering it. Next, I created the publication layout to guide visitors through the exhibition. This layout provided context and helped enhance their understanding of the pieces on display.

Throughout the project, I worked closely with The Suter Art Gallery team. Together, we ensured the final designs matched their vision for the exhibition. I paid close attention to detail to create a memorable experience. From the moment visitors received their invitations to when they explored the gallery, every element aimed to engage and inspire.

This project showcases how I translate an artist’s vision into a compelling visual narrative. If you want exhibition design that elevates your work and connects with audiences, explore my portfolio or contact me to discuss your next project.
